Catch up....

We moved into the Chewuch Campground on the 18th, moving from the Bobcat area. Site #16 was perfect for us, last of the RV spots with nobody on the north of us. The campground was not open yet, which means no water or toilet paper in the outhouses. This is our favorite camp in this area. The campground has 16 sites. The tent sites are next to the river while the RV sites are away from the river. The RV sites are longer, around 3 of them can handle 35' - 40', and pretty level.

We were on the move every day. Trips to check out areas we haven't seen for a while... up the Twisp River Road... Road 5130 has 4 campgrounds and is paved half way. Over the North Cascades again, that never gets boring..

We went one night to the Twisp River Suites and listen to Emele sing. It was a small gathering but a lot of fun. They are going to do it again on the 16th.

We made a trip to Wenatchee and finally got our Covid vaccine shot. Checked out some campgrounds for future use, Lincoln Rock State Park, Daroga State Park, and Beebe Bridge Park.

Roxanne saw a poster asking for campground hosts at numerous campgrounds in the area. This was something we had always kicked around that we would like to do. We had been at each campgrounds in the past, but we spent sometime seeing if the new coach would work size and road wise. Black Lake is a wonderful and beautiful lake, but the road up is narrow and steep.  Lone Fire is half way to Washington Pass on Hwy 20 and would be a long trip for supplies and phone service. Klipchuck was a possibility, about 30 miles west outside Winthrop.  Early Winters already had a host. (with power and cell service). So, loving the Chewuch, we fill out the application to host that site, and were accepted... yeah... We start on Monday, June 14th.

We came in to Spokane, Northern Quest again on the 6th of June, Roxanne had her doctor appointment on Monday, and we both have a dentist visit on Thursday. Then back to the Chewuch on Friday.

There seems to be limited data in the Methow Valley... on busy weekends, it's almost impossible to do anything online... The Chewuch does not have cell service... boo, hoo

  1. Hi my friends! Thank you Bud, for coming down to the Twisp River Suites to hear/see us playing Saturday night! It's always a nice surprise to have my little brother around! Ha! Good to see Roxanne as well with her radiant smile. Do you take boarders! ? I'm happy to be off the Banjo trail and home from Alabama.

Stay cool. I'll be at the suites with Fred next week. John is going to a wedding. Emele
